PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND TARGET AUDIENCE
The Education Center is pleased to present the 27th Annual Geriatrics Conference. Nationally renowned experts in the field of Geriatrics will present the latest concepts, approaches and treatments for our aging population. This one day conference with speakers, breakout sessions and several roundtable discussion topics is designed to enhance the knowledge of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing home administrators, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, case managers and other interested health care providers. A wide range of topics will be discussed to enhance the care of aging patients.
FACTS AND FIGURES
In recent years the elderly population has increased eleven fold, whereas the non-elderly have only increased three fold¹. Additionally, the U.S. Census Bureau projects the elderly population will reach 80 million in 2050, with as many as 1 in 5 Americans classified as elderly. Most of this growth is expected to occur during 2010 and 2030 as the “baby boom” generation continues to age².

8.0 Contact Hours
The Missouri Board of Nursing Home administrators has approved this conference for 8.0 clock hours (3 Administrative and 5 Patient Care) toward annual re-licensure of nursing home administrators. This program has been approved for a total of 3 Administrative (A) hours and 5 Patient Care (PC) hours. It carries the approval number of SO-3618 which will identify to Missouri administrators that the program is accepted for renewal purposes and in which category the hours will apply.
This program has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers-Missouri Chapter for 8.0 social work clock hours per approval certificate #OA041213-020.
This program has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide continuing education credit to CCM® board certified case managers. The course is approved for 8.0 CE contact hour(s).
This program has been approved by the Arkansas Board of Physical Therapy for 8.0 contact hours and it is deemed equivalent by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts per 4 CSR 150-3.203-5A.
This program meets the criteria for category 2.3 (attending employer-provided, workplace continuing education) Professional Development Unit activities for NBCOT© and qualifies as 8.0 contact hours (equivalent to 8.0 NBCOT© Professional Development Units).

Participants will receive statements of credit at the end of the program when all requirements for credit have been met. Satisfactory completion of objectives will occur through program attendance. CANCELLATION, NO SHOW, AND REFUND POLICY
Cancellations received in writing to EducationCenter@coxcollege.edu by April 5, 2013 will be entitled to a full refund. After this time, a $25 processing fee will be withheld. No refunds will be made the day of the conference. No shows will be charged the full conference fee.
In the event Education Center cancels or reschedules a course, participants are entitled to a full refund or the participant may transfer registration to the next scheduled activity.
Cox College is not responsible for travel, hotel, booking fees, or other cancellation fees for registrants when an activity is cancelled.
All refunds must be received in writing via email or by calling the Education Center.
